- Sagres Fortress (51 kms): Also referred to as Sagres Castle or Sagres Fort, this military monument is located near the town of Sagres, in the municipality of Vila do Bispo. The fortress was built in the 15th century, during the period of Infante D. Henrique.
- Faro (76 kms): The capital of the Algarve with a well-preserved medieval old town and quiet beaches.
