The 4 star Resort Hotel Vila Gale Albacora is uniquely located in the Ria Formosa Natural Park, the last paradise of the Algarve, with stunning views of the Tavira and Cabana islands. The Algarve is famous for its wonderful, long, sandy beaches and the best beach in the area, on Tavira Island, is reached by a ferry boat from the hotel. Other beaches are less than a 5 minute walk away.

Built on the site of a former tuna fishing village this beautiful resort hotel is set in lush landscaped gardens, with winding paths surrounded by mature trees in scented gardens. The resort has a small museum and a Chapel which still celebrates weddings and christenings.

The Vila Gale Albacora has 157 en-suite bedrooms and 4 Junior. All are comfortably furnished and have a furnished patio area with views of the gardens and surrounding countryside. All rooms are air conditioned and have direct dial telephone, wi-fi, Satellite TV, radio, safe, mini-bar and hair dryer. Family rooms, non-smoking rooms and rooms for disabled persons are available.

There are 2 bars and lounges with large, comfortable seating areas and a terrace overlooking the pool. All provide the perfect location for winding down and relaxing with a glass of the excellent local wines or a cocktail. For dining there are 2 very good restaurants buffet and à la carte and, subject to weather, you may care to dine al fresco.

The resort’s health club incorporates a fitness centre with gymnasium and the Spa and Wellness centre offers massage. There is also an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi.
