Located in the isthmus that connects Murtosa to the beaches of S. Jacinto, this Hotel Pousada of Portugal is located in a preserved area of unique natural beauty.

You might also see the traditional “Moliceiros” boats which have high prows and are brightly painted with religious motives and are typical of the area.

The original use of these boats was to carry sea weed which was spread on the riverside fields as fertilizer.

An interesting day out from the Pousada is to continue by car to the village of S. Jacinto at the end of the isthmus and then take the small ferry to Aveiro.
