Beautiful surrouding and a very nice pousada. Just make sure to get a room with a vieuw on the lake, because the rooms at the backside are not quiet at all. There is a continues noise from the airo and other machines, which is quite annoying in this place that seems so far from the rest of the world.

We stayed for two days and liked the Pousada very much in general. The reception personnel were very nice and supported. Two comments – one dinner the fish served was (refrigerator) cold in the middle. The other thing – which is the reason for us never to return – is the lack of Internet access. It is not enough to be offered to use the computer in the reception (which we never did).

This may seem strange but we didn’t stay at this pousada, we were meant to but when we arrived we realised it was far too isolated for us, lovely outstanding scenery and it did look very nice, we saw the rooms and they too looked excellent, having stayed at Crato in the countryside for 2 days we wanted somewhere with more going on. This place would be ideal to start a holiday to relax and wind down, just wasn’t good for us, however I wanted to comment on the staff who could not have been more helpful and understanding toward us.They rebooked us at Sagres without a fuss. No rebooking fee or made to feel bad. We were very pleased with the service we got.

Lovely welcome and most excellent evening meal, well served and well cooked, A peaceful and lovely setting. But check the route you intend to approach it from, it some ways looked closer than it was in fact.

In all other ways a splendid hotel

Well worth the lovely journey to this out of the way Pousada. In all respects it was excellent, the staff very helpful, the rooms a delight and the food superb, and you could not wish for a more relaxed time with all the wonderful views
