Enjoyed our two night stay in this, the first of our pousada experiences. Restaurant very good although a little on the expensive side. Only one other dining option in an Uchaida a short walk away which we enjoyed also. Hilltop location fantastic although at the end of our first day's drive in Portugal the approach oveer the last few kilometres was a bit of a challenge, particularly the last few hundred metres, but well worth the effort. Staff helpful as we found in other pousadas.

no lift to the room (some problems for the luggage) but our our stay was pleasant. Great helpful staff. We expected the typical Portuguese food, hardly ever found in the pousads. Perhaps the quality / price of food was not to be still living good. Pousada strongly recommend, especially with the favorable price of the Golden Age Passport

Not up to expectations. No one at reception desk to welcome us. We had to go find them after 10 minutes or so..no bell or bellman. No assistance with luggage. No view from our room was adequate but nothing special...there appeared to be only three or four other guests, so we would have liked a nicer room. Restaurant was basic, nothing special and decor very ordinary...fortunately we were only there one night. Just not up to speed for what we experienced in other Portuguese towns, although the locaton (Ourem) itself was charming, welcoming and a pleasant respite.

My wife and I stayed at the pousada in ourem with another couple earlier this month. Like all the pousadas the accomodations were top notch and the staff very accomodating both at check in and during our stay.

The food and service in the dining room was excellent and we had a wonderful meal at reasonable prices.

the location of the pousada is stunning; its situation on the top of a very steep hill gives one incredible vistas both in the morning and evening. One suggestion I would make is to forewarn visitors that the approach to the pousada should be navigated and driven with care. The road to the hotel is very steep and narrow and navigaging the last few hundred yards in the little village can be a bit of a driving challenge. But that is one of the aspects of this hotel which makes it and its locations so charming.

Top location in tiny village on top of hill. Very peaceful location. Enjoy relaxing by the pool on a hot afternoon enjoying panoramic view of surrounding countryside. Wander up the hill to see the old castle ruins. Rooms are comfortable and quite large, service is good, food and wine better than at other pousadas we visited.

From the minute we arrived we were meet by friendly and efficient staff. Our room was very comfortable and the bed linen of a very high standard. Our meal in the dining room was lovely and the help we got from the head waiter with our chose of wine resulted in a bottle of lovely, full bodied local red wine at a very reasonable price! The town itself is lovely and we spent a few hours enjoying the views overlooking Fatima. We will definately go back.

To find a place that is friendly, peaceful, stunning views and good food are very rare. To spent the night at the poussada on the eve of my sisters birthday was very special for us all.
I really would like to give special mention to the beautiful young lady on reception, she was just charming and so helpful, yet another rare find in this day and age. Thank you all once again for making our stay so special.

My three sisters, brother-in-law and I stayed at the pousada, we were delighted to find out that the castle we kept seeing on a hill in the distance would turn out to be where we were going to stay, the staff and service were brilliant, the bedrooms/bathrooms were spacious, fresh and clean, as was the hotel, the views from the ruins was just magic I thought if I held my hand up in the air I would be able to touch the sky amazing feeling. I too would like to single out the hotel receptionist she was just so lovely, helpful and above all had a lovely face and smile I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone who is thinking of visiting Fatima or the surrounding areas. I am sure my sisters and I will return one day. Thank you all

This was our first time in Portugal and we chose Ourem as a location to visit historical areas in Central Portugal including Alcobaca, Tomar, Leira and Fatima. We had never stayed in a pousada before our two night stay in Ourem but we found it to be a wonderful experience.

Being from the US, staying in a pousada is clearly different than our usual stay in a hotel and was also different than the hotels we stayed in when we were in the Lisboa area earlier in the week. Comfortable and peaceful might be the best description - it just felt like we were very welcomed and at home. It was very quiet, in part because there weren't all that many guests when we were there but the ambience of the establishment also promotes a sense of peace and quiet. The rooms were also fairly large by European standards which was a pleasant change from cramped quarters on previous trips in the UK and Scandinavia.

We really enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant. The duck with figs and currants is fabulous and the local wines are excellent. Of course, local wines always taste better when you are in such a lovely place. The breakfast buffet was also very nice and very convenient.

More than anything though, the staff is what makes the pousada so perfect. Kudos particularly to Daniella who was our dinner server - I can't imagine a nicer or more competent server. I would also like to single out the young lady at the front desk when we arrive (I can't remember her name) who was very helpful and just genuinely friendly to my wife and I. I have rarely stayed in a place that had staff that was just so nice - not because they were supposed to be but because they just seem like really nice people.

The view from the room and the view from the area around the pousada is outstanding. Driving up to the pousada is, well, quite the experience as well.

Although this is our first time at a pousada, I am sure it will not be our last time. I would recommend that anyone coming to Portugal experience one of these places. We really have very little comparable in the US; I am sure you realize how special these establishments are. You should be very proud of what you have done in Ourem. Thank you for making our vacation so special.

We came in a party of 3, arriving to the Pousada on Thursday. It seemed that we were the only guests on that day. The environment and the hotel are very delightful. Unfortunately the lift was not working and we had to carry the heavy luggage by ourselves. No staff offered help.

The restaurant did not have the food we wanted to order, maybe due to the no. of guests and they did not stock enough variety of food. However, we had excellent service with 100% attention. On the following day, there were more choices of food because there were a few more guests checked in on Friday.

On the whole, we had a very pleasant stay in this Pousada. If we come to Fatima again in the future, we'll choose this hotel again.
