Pousada in Horta – Hotel Santa Cruz
The Pousada da Horta, Forte de Santa Cruz, is set in a 16th century fortress built over the Horta bay and is classified as a National Monument since 1947.
With a magnificent view of the Pico Island, you can also admire the famous Marina and its yachts.
It is an ideal charming hotel to enjoy unforgettable moments, from business meetings to leisure time.
Walking, Bicycle, Horse riding or diving excursions are some of the several activities you can do, always surrounded by a beautiful scenario.
A fine hotel,I found it a pity that I had a room at the side of the hotel with no view of the sea, as the hotel was absolutely not full I found this a bit strange.
The resturant staff were excellent. I had the feeling that there were not so many guests and that the reception staff were a bit bored .
However it was a good place to stay for the start of my holiday in the Azores although expensive.
maybe an idea to introduce better packages especially for the over 60,s as we seem to be the group travelleling a lot.
