Pousada in Braga
Pousada in Braga – Hotel Sao Vicente
The Pousada de Braga, Sao Vincente, is the result of the restoration of a late nineteenth-century palace.
In an appropriate setting for a charming hotel, this is the ideal base to discover the magnificent city of Braga and the fabulous Minho region during your leisure time.

If you’re travelling on business you’ll feel at home when you return to the Pousada de São Vicente at the end of your day’s work. This hotel is equipped to host events.

Disappointed with the quality of this pousada, really due for renovation. Location very good in close proximity to centre and staff helpful.
Liked the pousada. Room comfortable. Easy location to walk to old part of Braga. Staff very helpful. Also visited Bom Jesus church. Amazing.
We were unlucky in that we stayed at Braga on an incredibly wet day in early October 2010.
It was so wet that Braga was awash and we could not get out of the Pousada for an evening meal. No meal was served in the hotel but we were offered a sandwich from the bar. 3 sandwiches and a bottle of red wine were charged to us at almost 50 Euros .The next day whilst in the local supermarket
I found the same bottle of wine at under 3 Euros. We were robbed in circumstances that we could not avoid
Our room was at best adequate and the attitude of the receptionist disinterested
After excellent experiences in Spanish Paradores this was a very great disappointment
I have stayed at this beautiful Pousada and I was very well surprised.
The room was very comfortable and the premises were well maintained and beautifully kept.
It is conveniently situated to visit Braga and its many restaurants and monuments.
The staff were great and were always able to help.
I recommend this Pousada and hopefully I will be back next year.
The only thing we agree with from the prior reviewer was the comment about the pool area, which was of no concern to us. We found the room at least adequate, and the breakfast area and the common areas really quite pleasant. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. The best part, however, was the staff at the pousada who helped us with directions and advice about touring Braga and really made our visit terrific.
This was a very disappointing experience. The room which was booked as a superior double was far too small. There was nowhere to sit down apart from the bed,no where to put clothes including no drawers except two very small ones,a hardly run bar and no evening meal available.
The swimming pool was a disgrace not clean, only one stool to sit on and not supervised in any way.
If this was our only experience of Pousadas we would never stay at one again.Fortunately it was not. This one should be closed unless it can offer sufficient services and it was a disappointing two nights there.
